About the College

Nestled in the sylvan surroundings of the Somaiya Vidyavihar stands its premier institution, the K.J.Somaiya College of Arts & Commerce. This college established in 1960 has risen by slow and steady degrees to be an institution to reckon with as an educational institution inculcating in the present day youngsters the eternal values enshrined in our Indian ethos through special Gita Lectures.
     
With a student strength of about 6500 and a teaching and non teaching staff of 150, this institution, with their excellent co- operation is actively engaged in a host of curricular as well as extra-curricular activities throughout the year, both at the Junior and Senior College levels.

The college offers a wide variety of subjects on its courses at various levels. This is especially so in respect of the Arts Faculty courses. There is much to choose from at both the Ancillary as well as the Major levels of study.
