GCET MBA (Gujarat Common Entrance Test):- GCET MBA 2012-2013 is a standardized exam conducted by Gujarat Technological University (GTU) to short list qualified candidates to fill the 5000+ seats of two years full time and three years part time evening course of Master of Business Administration (MBA), being offered by 100+ management institutes based in Gujarat and affiliated to GTU.
GCET MBA 2012 Eligibility:- Candidate should have Bachelor degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks (45% for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe) from a University situated in the Gujarat State or a University Situated outside of Gujarat provided the candidates have cleared the HSC (10 + 2) or its equivalent examination from a Gujarat Board, or a Central Board of Secondary Education in which the student had studied based in Gujarat or in Union territories like Diu, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli or any national level board from which the student had studied based in Gujarat.
GCET MBA 2012 Admission Rules:-
All the government seats shall be filled on the basis of merit list prepared by the admission committee.
All the management quota seats shall be filled by the management of the respective institutes on the basis of the merit list of the students whose names appear in the merit list prepared by the admission committee.
100% of the seats of the government and granted colleges have to be filled on the basis of the merit list.
Self financed institutes can fill 25% seats on their own with a criteria that the student being offered should have cleared GCET MBA 2010. Out of 25% seats, 15% seats are reserved for NRI or NRI sponsored candidates.
