Shobhit University journey to empower the nation through education began in the year 1989, under the aegis of the NICE Society, envisioned by Babu Vijendra Kumar Ji, an eminent agriculturist and social worker from Gangoh, Distt. Saharanpur and nurtured by a team of eminent professionals, technocrats, educationists and social workers. Acknowledging our mission to create the quality human resource in the niche and emerging areas, the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development, vide its Notification No. F-9-37/2004-U.3 (A) dated 8th November, 2006 under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act granted Deemed-to-be University status to Shobhit Institute of Engineering & Technology, Meerut. Shobhit University was launched on 8th Feb, 2007 on the birthday of our Inspirer Babu Vijendra Kumar Ji. It offers under-graduate, graduate and professional programs to the Indian and International student community adopting best practices. It is also engaged in research on the issues that are relevant to industries and global community at large. Shobhit University aims to create a conducive, enabling academic climate to facilitate integration of the younger generation into the logic of the present system and to develop educational means by which men and women deal critically and creatively with reality and discover how to participate in the transformation of their world. Learning Resources Library & Learning Centre Library is the nerve center of learning resources of any institution and it supports teaching, learning, research, academic and development programmes. The University library is well stocked with a wide range of books in all core, functional and applied areas of study. Leading journals both National and International, Newspapers, Current magazines etc. are subscribed regularly for a quick dissemination of information to students. Library is connected to other national libraries through e-Library facilities and connected to International Library Network. In addition to this, the University is having a unique facility of a Virtual Library which enables the Students and Faculty Members to access approximately 4.5 lakh books in the areas of science, technology management and other relevant areas and even get a softcopy of any portion of the book. The University is also having an Open Source Learning Centre, the students are exposed to watch and hear Talks/Lectures of eminent scholars, professors, and researchers in various disciplines are downloaded from the Web Site for viewing and benefit of the students and members of the faculty. Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm.) Duration - 2 Years Full Time
Eligibility - The admissions are strictly merit based wherein all eligible candidates appear in an entrance test, followed by interview by a group of experts. Due weightage is given to the performance in qualifying examination, entrance test, interview and experience.
Duration - 1 Year Full Time
Eligibility - Admission to M.Phil. Programs is open to a student who holds at least a second class Master’s Degree in the concerned subject with 55 % or more marks.
(i) has passed Bachelor’s Degree Examination with at least 50 % marks
(ii) has passed Intermediate Examination with at least 50 % marks
Passed Bachelor’s Degree Examination and Intermediate Examination with second division separately in each examination but with an aggregate of 55 % marks in Bachelor’s Degree Examination
Admission Procedure:
Admission is based on the Academic Merit and Interview / Group Discussion.
