Eligibility Criteria:-
Qualification: - Applicant shall possess the Bachelor’s Degree of a University in India established under a statute.
Preference may be given to those applicants who possess the Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Marketing/Management. Good working knowledge of English and also one Regional language preferably local language is desirable. Knowledge of soft skills such as Power Point / Word / Excel would be additional advantage.
Age as on 01-04-2013:- Minimum 21 years and Maximum 35 years
Age Relaxation:-
Member of a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe:- 40 years
Member of OBCs (other than those in creamy layer):- 38 years
Selection Procedure:- Selection will be made on the basis of a written test & Interview.

Job profiles - The LIC Insurance Corporation of India conducts recruitments for the following job profiles of Clerks, Development Officer (DO), Apprentice Development Officers (ADO), Assistant Administrative Officers (AAO), Relationship Manager (RM) and Direct Sales Executive (DSE).

Academic Competence - The academic competence for job openings in LIC varies depending upon the capacity of the job. In the case of Clerks and Development Officers graduates from any discipline are preferred. Since ADO is a marketing and sales job preference is first given to candidates who have an MBA in Marketing. Candidates who have a post graduate diploma in marketing are also preferred. In case of Assistant administrative Officer (generalist) applicants with a graduate degree are preferred. In case of specialist AAO academic competence depends upon the particular skill (for instance in case of CA, the applicant must be an Associate member of the ICAI). In terms of Relationship managers the educational qualification is graduation in any discipline. However applicants with work experience in Sales and Marketing are preferred. For the post of DSE, the educational qualification is a bachelors degree with a diploma is marketing and management with effective communications skills are given preference.
Selection Criteria - Selection into the organisation is done of the basis of written test and if necessary an interview. The written test is objective in nature and probes the candidates with section that test applicants on reasoning, numerical ability and general knowledge. In some job profiles candidates will have also pass an examination conducted by IRDA in order to complete the formalities. The final selection is made on the basis of written test and interview. The Corporation reserves the right for selection of candidates.
