About Bangalore University

Bangalore University was established in 1886 in Bangalore. This is one of the oldest public university in India located in Bangalore, Karnataka State, India. The university is spread over a vast land of 1111 acres. There are over 50 post graduate courses offered here which are recognised by the UGC of India.

The Bangalore University gave birth to universities like Visvesvarya Technological University, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science and the National Institute Mental Health and Neuroscience. The university has an Institute of Aerospace Medicine (IAM) which has been included by ISRO for astronaut training for the Indian space program. Bangalore University has been awarded Sir M Visvesvarya chair from ISRO to perform research in space science.

Bangalore University B S Admission 2012:-

Eligibility for Admission:-

Candidates who have completed two-year Pre-University course with science of Karnataka State or equivalent thereto (CBSE & Plus 2) & have secured at least 50% of marks in the aggregate of all papers studied at the qualifying examination are eligible for admission to this course.

In case of SC/ST/Cat-I students, the minimum percentage of marks required shall be in aggregate less by 5%. Theory,

Fee Structure:- The Fee Structure in the University will be nominal of Rs. 5000/- for this year.

Bangalore University MBA / Master of Business Studies (Integrated) Admission 2012:-

Duration : 10 Semesters (5 years)

Intake : 32

Eligibility:- Candidates who have completed two-year Pre-University Science course of Karnataka State or equivalent thereto and have secured at least 50% of marks in the aggregate of all papers studied at the qualifying examination are eligible for admission into this course.

Selection:- Preference should be given t o Karnataka s t u d e n t s with Domicile. Even after filling up of these seats, if the seats are vacant, a second counseling is to be make for the students who have studied in Karnataka State but who are not of Karnataka Domicile. If the seats are still not filled, then the 3rd preference may be given to students belonging to outside Karnataka State. Marks secured at PUC or equivalent examination shall be the role criteria for selection.

B.Com Admission 2012:-

(a) Pass in the Two years Pre -University examination (including Supplementary) examination conducted by the Pre-University Education Board of Karnataka State (10+2 Pattern) or equivalent examination thereto.

OR
(b) A pass in any of the following examinations considered equivalent like:

i) Job Oriented Pre- University Diploma Courses Conducted by the State Council for Vocational Education in Karnataka or other states which are considered as equivalent to two years of P.U.C of Karnataka (10+2).

ii)Diploma in Business administration conducted by the Board of Technical Education, Karnataka (10 + 3).

Age:- Candidates must have completed 18 years of age

I am currently pursuing my B Com 2nd year (Corresp) with ICFAI, but unfortunately they said i will be able to write my exams only in April - 2013, i have completely prepared for my exams now, if i have tp write my exams next year, this full year is waste, so thought of taking an admission again with BUniversity, so that i can atleast finish my exams at the earliest, can i know if i get the admission done, when will the exams be scheduled with Blore university, i would like to take the exams asap. Bangalore University's correspondence courses are the worst thing that can happen to anyone, once you join them you are left to wander on your own nothing to guide you, this university trouble's to that extent that you will get nightmare's. You enroll, nobody guides you on syllabus, for results you have to wait forever, after every exam it extends its deadline of announcing the results by 2 months and now they have some re examination gimmick because if which hundreds of genuine students whose livelihood depends on it are suffering, they are left in a lurch, the results are announced you don't find your results, you do not know if you are to re write the exams or if the results will be announced. God Save every student from this sick university.
