Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University has announced Ph.D admissions for the academic year 2015-16 in areas of Engineering/Technology, Sciences, Management and Liberal Studies. A Research Aptitude Test (RAT) will be conducted for Ph.D applicants followed by a Discipline wise proficiency-evaluation. The last date for receipt of application form for Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University Ph.D Admissions 2015 is October 30, 2014 (Thursday).
Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University Ph.D Admissions 2015 Eligibility:-
For research in an area of Engg./Technology:
Based on the aggregate of all the semesters the minimum CPI of 6.5 or the minimum 60% marks either at B. Tech. or at M. Tech. /M.E. equivalent level, & M. Tech. /M.E. or its equivalent as recognized by AIU in appropriate area.
OR
Based on the aggregate of all the semesters the Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent in an appropriate area as recognized by AIU with a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% of marks with more than 15 years of experience in an appropriate area.
For research in an area of Sciences:
Based on the aggregate of all the semesters the minimum CPI of 6.5 or the minimum 60% marks in M.Sc. or its equivalent as recognized by A IU in appropriate area.
For research in an area of Management:
Based on the aggregate of all the semesters the minimum CPI of 6.5 or the minimum 60% marks at a Bachelor degree and also at M.B.A. / M. Tech. /M.E./A.C.A./A.I.C.W.A./A.C.S. level or its equivalent as recognized by AIU in appropriate area.
For research in an area related to Liberal Studies:
(English Language & Literature, Public Administration and Public Policy, Economics, Psychology, Political Science, & International Relations) M. A. with minimum 55% marks as aggregate of all the years or its equivalent as recognized by AIU in appropriate area.
Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University Ph.D Admissions 2015 Selection Procedure:-
There will be a Research Aptitude Test (RAT) common for all the eligible candidates, followed by a Discipline-wise proficiency-evaluation which may be in the form of oral &/or written test/s as to be determined by the concerned School for the research area in its purview.

•Announcement of the candidates eligible for the selection procedure on the website - 11th November 2014 (Monday)
Selection Procedure:-
•RAT in, Block-C (SPT-1 building) from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. Discipline wise proficiency-evaluation at 1.30 p.m. onward - 21st November 2014 (Friday)
•Announcement of the list of candidates offered the admission - 2nd December 2014 (Tuesday).
•Last Date for Paying fees - 9th December 2014 (Tuesday).
•Induction programme for admitted candidates - 1st January 2015 (Thursday)
•Commencement of the term 5th January 2015 (Monday)
