CA CPT - Common Proficiency Test is an entry level examination for admission to the Chartered Accountancy Course. A 10th Passed student can register for CPT Course by filling in the prescribed registration form along with the requisite fee. A student who has passed higher qualifications than 10th class such as B.Com, M.Com, LL.B., ICWA, CS, MBA is also, in the first instance, to appear and pass CPT Examination to join the Chartered Accountancy Course.
CA CPT December 2017 Notification:-
Apply online at website http://icaiexam.icai.org from 4th October 2017 to 25th October 2017 (without late fees)
Upto 1st November 2017 with late fees of Rs 600/-
CA CPT Decemeber 2017 Date - 17th December 2017, Sunday
First Session (i.e. Morning Session) 10.30 AM to 12.30 PM (IST)
Section - A Fundamentals of Accounting
Section - B Mercantile Laws
Second Session (i.e. Afternoon Session) 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM (IST)
Section - C General Economics
Section - D Quantitative Aptitude
CA CPT 2017 Paper Pattern:-
One Paper, Two Sessions
200 Marks
Session I:-
Section A: Fundamentals of Accounting - 60 Marks
Section B: Mercantile Laws - 40 Marks
Session II:
Section C: General Economics - 50 Marks
Section D: Quantitative Aptitude -50 Marks
The CPT Examination is held twice a year on a Sunday in the months of June and December every year.
The following categories of students shall be exempted from passing the Common Proficiency Test (CPT):
(A) Graduates or Post Graduates in Commerce having secured in aggregate a minimum of 55% of the total marks or its equivalent grade in the examination conducted by any recognised University (including Open University) by studying any three papers of 100 marks each out of Accounting, Auditing, Mercantile Laws, Corporate Laws, Economics, Management (including Financial Management), Taxation (including Direct Tax Laws and Indirect Tax Laws), Costing, Business Administration or Management Accounting;
OR
Graduates or Post Graduates other than those falling under Commerce stream mentioned above having secured in aggregate a minimum of 60% of the total marks or its equivalent grade in the examination conducted by any recognised University (including Open Uni versity).
CA Intermediate Exam
Eligibility:-
A student who has passed Common Proficiency Test and Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 examination) conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto may join the Integrated Professional Competence Course.
CA Final Exam
The Chartered Accountants Final Examination is held twice every year in the months of May and November. It comprises of two groups. Candidate can appear for groups / group I / group II as the case may be subject to fulfillment of eligibility condition. Each group comprises of four papers as detailed below:

Eligibility:-
1. The candidate must have passed the Intermediate/ PE-II Examination.
2. The candidate must have obtained Final Course registration number from Board of Studies Section of the concerned decentralized office of the Institute after passing the Intermediate/ PE-II Examination.
3. The candidate must have completed the practical training as is required for admission as a member or is serving the last twelve months of practical training on the first day of the month in which the examination is scheduled to be held.
