About Shankar IAS Academy
Shankar IAS Academy was started in the year 2004 in Chennai.Mr.Shankar is he founder of this institute formed to train students for the Civil Services Examination.Heis an Agriculture graduate from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and has his Master’s in Dairy Extension from National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal, Haryana.

Since inception the academy has helped students secure ranks in services like IAS, IPS, IRS in the Civil Services Exam.Once the students get through the Mains examination, the Academy conducts Group discussions, mock-interviews, discussions with IAS, IPS officers and with subject matter specialists from various fields.

The eligibility criteria for both M.Phil and Ph.D varies for every institute. However the basic requirement is a Masters degree or an equivalent degree in the relevant discipline. However the cut off percentages vary. Some of the institutes conduct entrance exams and some of them require atleast two Research Publications for the Ph.D programs. Some also require work experience of a couple of years. Had you mentioned the subject of your interest and your location, we would have been able to help you better.
