Nanobiotechnology  is specialized area of Nanotechnology which uses the tools and processes of nano and  micro fabrication to build devices and structures to understand and study Biological Systems. Bionanotechnology focuses on atomic and molecular level manipulation and manufacturing of biological molecules for specific applications is often used interchangeably with Nanobiotechnology.

This program has a strong research focus on exploring the possibilities of different aspects of convergence of two technologies while trading a thin margin between Nanobiotechnology and Bionanotechnology.

Duration:- 2 years, Full Time

Eligibility:-

Graduates/ Postgraduates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology in Electrical / Electronics/ Biotechnology/ Communication / Instrumentation/ Chemical/Polymer/ Computer Science/IT or MSc Physics/ Chemistry/ Zoology/ Botany/ Bioinformatics/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Electronics/ Computer Science or equivalent (with minimum 60 percent marks or equivalent grades)

About the College

 The The International Institute of Information Technology (I2IT) formerly known as HOPE Foundation  is a Public Trust Act founded under the Public Trust Act 1950 in 1979 by Mr. Pralhad P. Chhabria, a well-known industrialist and philanthropist and Chairman of the Finolex Group of Companies and Mr. Kishan P. Chhabria, Managing Director, Finolex Industries Ltd. 

The Education Division of the Foundation was established in 1996 with the setting up of the Finolex Academy of Management & Technology (FAMT) at Ratnagiri, the first engineering college in this relatively underdeveloped area. Spread over 35 acres of land in the M.I.D.C. area at Mirjole, Ratnagiri, the academy is affiliated to the Mumbai University and has obtained the approval of the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). Coastal Ratnagiri offers a verdant and peaceful environment, highly conducive to education. The academy’s facilities, in addition to its enormous campus, includes spacious lecture halls, laboratories housing the latest training equipment, a well-stocked library, a computer center and facilities for sports and extra-curricular activities. A highly qualified and motivated faculty ensures all support to the student community.

The academy offers degree level education in electronics, electrical and mechanical engineering. Computer science and information technology branches are being currently added.

  • Beware about Bionanotechnology this is only meant for research and paper publication no product is out in India. Like one in Amravati One Rai claims about nanotechnology, he is producing only nanoparticals from silver nitrates and do not have any products.
