About the College

The Government College of Engineering, Aurangabad (GECA) was established in 1960 by the Government of Maharashtra,with the view of catering to Maharashtra technical expertise requirement, this institution has earned well repute in a relatively short period of time. GECA has the distinction of being graded  'A' amongst the colleges located in the state of Maharashtra by the Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai which oversees admissions to the college.

The institute is affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad and is approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education). All degrees are awarded by the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University.

The institute is situated in the heart of the city in the Osmanpura area sprawling over a campus of 30 acres with magnificent ashlars masonry buildings housing various Departments, Laboratories, Workshop and Hostels.

Ans : It all depends upon ur interest. If u r interested in pursuing higher education after your Btech the options are M Tech , MCA, if u r good in programming and want to work in IT sector else do a MBA if u want to pursue a career in Management.. I would advise u to work after ur BE for atleast 2 -3 yrs. and then do a full time or part time MBA.

Ans : Selvi, There is SRM University in Chennai offering M.E/M.Tech courses through distance learning.

Q : hiiiiiiiiii am samprat from pune.i want to ask now i completed 12th without biology because of my parents. but my interest in animals so what can i do now?is there any solution or course about aimals(any) plz help me am confused .......................

Ans : Yes you can do B.Sc in Biology and then do M.SC in Wildlife from The Wildlife Institute Dehradun.

Q : sir, i want to know that from which stream in B.E or B.tech i choose nano technology in M.E or M.tech.

Ans : Maulik, u can do engineering in any stream but the scores should be a minimum of 60%. But preferred streams would be electronics or computer science to pursue your ME or M.Tech in Nano technology.

Q : i completed bsc in 2010 &12 in 2005 can i do engineering

Ans : yes you can do engineering but from a private engineering college where there is no age barrier as some colleges might have an age limit for admission into the course.
