About the College

Arasu Engineering College was established in 2000. The college is affilated to Anna University and offering AICTE approved professional studies upto graduate levels. It was ranked the No.2 engineering education provider in India by the Indian Government Educational Survey Board in 2009, closely behind IIT (Nagpur). The college is established by Sri Thirunavukkarasu Dhanalakshmi Educational and Charitable Trust in 1999. It was registered as a public charitable trust in the year 2000 to serve the society. The trust is doing yeomen service in the field of Technical Education and Research. It is the first Engineering College started in the Kumbakonam .

The College offers B.E course in Computer Science And Engineering, Electronics And Communication Engineering, Electrical And Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering.

The college offers programmes that have been approved by All India Council for Technical Education with three programmes at the Under Graduate level in the year 2001-02 . The college at present offers Six Under Graduate Programmes. with the approval of AICTE and Anna University Tiruchirapalli.
 

The Management is keen on developing the College into a quality institution for higher education and it has provided adequate infrastructural facilities and sufficient funds. It is a matter of pride to declare that the College has achieved 95 percent in the I semester University Examinations. The Institution is doing its best to achieve excellent results in all the Examinations.

Ans : Dear M.Bajikushma, It clearly depends upon your interest and what you want to do in life, how good you are in your engineering and whether you want to pursue your career in engineering field only. If you are interested in working in an office environment in management level then you should go for MBA. I would suggest you first work for 1-2 years after b.tech and see what really interests you and then jump for post graduation.

Ans : To answer your question "is chemical engineering very tough and boring?" it all depends on your interests. If you have an interest towards the subject you will find it interesting and easy. Nothing is tough and boring if you have dedication and interest in the subject.

Q : can one do aeronautical engineering after taking commerce??

Ans : No chance Bcoz aeronautical engg course will admits only the students hav done PCM in science stream that too with minimum of 50% in PCM.....
