Duration:- Four years

Eligibility:- Pass in the 2nd  PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent qualifying examination with a minimum aggregate of 45% in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with Biotechnology or Computer science or Biology or Electronics as optional subjects in place of chemistry, are eligible. English as one of the language of study is compulsory.

Should have appeared for entrance examination conducted by the Karnataka CET or COMEDK-UGE

About the College

Canara Engineering College has been started as a Konkani Linguistic Minority Institution. The Konkani speaking community of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and North Kanara Districts felt a vital need for quality education in the field of engineering. The College will attempt to fulfil this need by giving excellent training to students in the Information Technology sector, Electronics and Communication sector, Computer Science and Engineering , Mechanical Engineering and Electrical and Electronics sectors.

Canara Engineering College was started as a new millennium project of Canara High School Association with state of the art facilities and laboratories. Set in sylvan surroundings, the institution while having all facilities for recreation and sports, will enable the students to concentrate on their academic activities undisturbed by the distractions of the city.

The College was started in the year 2001 with 180 seats in 3 Branches of Engineering. Two more Engineering branches were added in the year 2004. At present it has 7 sections with a total intake of 420 seats.
