About the College

IIT Kanpur or simply IITK is one of the earliest IITs to be established in India. The Institute began functioning in the borrowed building of Harcourt Butler Technological Institute in 1959 with 100 students and a small faculty.

With respect to all its attributes; be it academic curriculum, infrastructure and faculty, the institute has gained a wide recognition not only at national level but also at international level. Basically, IIT Kanpur is known for its sprawling campus that measures up to 1,055 acres. The campus is house to almost 2,800 graduates and 2500 graduates, 309 faculty and more than 900 supporting staff.

Ans : Maulik, u can do engineering in any stream but the scores should be a minimum of 60%. But preferred streams would be electronics or computer science to pursue your ME or M.Tech in Nano technology.
