Admission:- Admissions are done on the basis of rank in an all India EPSI National Admission Test (ENAT)

About the College

The Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Manipal, formerly known as the College of Dental Surgery, was the first self financing dental college in the private sector in our country. Established in the year 1965, it initially had an intake of 40 students that was later increased to 100 admissions from 1983-84 onwards.

The first batch of BDS students graduated from this institution in the year 1970 and recognition was granted by the Dental Council of India in the same year. In the year 1993, MCODS Manipal became a constituent college of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) that was conferred the status of a deemed University by the Government of India. Since February 2007, MAHE has been rechristened and is now known as Manipal University. Besides the undergraduate course, the college also offers post graduate courses in several specialties.

  • The 5 years BDS includes internship.For europe or US or Australia you need to qualify there licensing exams.For US u can clear the entrance exam and get admission to dds which is two years course if u have bds from india or get admission in MS which is same except u cant privately practise after doing MS but u can do after dds.
