About the College

Government Polytechnic Ranchi was established in 1935 and it is affiliated to State Board of Technical Education Jharkhand. It is one of the oldest institutes under Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of Jharkhand. The expectations of society, SC/ST, minorities’ students & communities in particulars are fulfilling through various remedial teaching and training programmes. This helps a lot to enhance the corporate value of the institution. The students and all levels of the staff facilities are vibrant. The institute is build in 28.54 acres of land in the heart of the city. A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to students at Government Polytechnic Ranchi in its various departments.
