  • Dear Sir, I am fire fighitng and protection system execution engineer.i am doing fire fighting system for boiler. my question is regarding hydrant system,i already installed hydrant system riser for boiler up to 90 m. of height, now i have to do hydro test for that hydrant riser and the hydro test pressure is 17 kg/cm^2,but due to water column up to 90 m. of height the pressure gauge installed at 90m and at 2m. elevation is showing around 7 kg. of pressure diffrence, can u please tell me how to convince my client is there is any clause in ASME or NFPA for the same. because if we pressurise the pipe line 17 kg at 90m elevation then pressure at ground level is around 24 kg,which is excedding maximum hydro test pressure.
