Here are the details of M.Sc (Mathematics) Course including duration, Eligibility, Admission Criteria, Fees and Syllabus.

The admission notification to  these programmes appear during the month of May.  Candidates with First Class B.Sc (Mathematics /Applied Mathematics)/ B.Tech. can seek admission for the M.Sc.(Tech) programme.  Selection is based on marks in the qualifying examination and performance in the test /interview conducted by the institute.  Candidates with first class Masters degree in Mathematics/Statistics/ and a valid GATE Score or UGC/CSIR/NBHM fellowship or NET can seek admission for the Ph.D.  programme. A few research fellowships are available to full time research scholars who are not receiving any financial support/ scholarship. In addition, those who are awarded UGC/CSIR/National Board of Higher Mathematics Doctoral Fellowship can enjoy the same once admitted in the Institute.  The selection is through an interview.  Please refer to information brochure for details regarding eligibility, selection process, fees, etc.

About the College

Set in a picturesque landscape at the foothills of the Western Ghats, National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) is located about 22 kilometers north-east of Calicut City. National Institute of Technology Calicut is a Technical Institution of national importance set up by an Act of parliament(Act 29 of 2007) namely, the National Institute of technology Act 2007, which received the assent of the President of India on 5th June,2007. The provision of the Act have come into force with effect from 15th August,2007 as per Notification S.O.1384(E) dated 9th August, 2007 of the MHRD(Dept. of Higher Education),New Delhi. As per the provision of the said Act, this Institution runs on non profitable basis.

Ans : It all depends upon ur interest. If u r interested in pursuing higher education after your Btech the options are M Tech , MCA, if u r good in programming and want to work in IT sector else do a MBA if u want to pursue a career in Management.. I would advise u to work after ur BE for atleast 2 -3 yrs. and then do a full time or part time MBA.

Q : hiiiiiiiiii am samprat from pune.i want to ask now i completed 12th without biology because of my parents. but my interest in animals so what can i do now?is there any solution or course about aimals(any) plz help me am confused .......................

Ans : Yes you can do B.Sc in Biology and then do M.SC in Wildlife from The Wildlife Institute Dehradun.
