About the College

The long cherished desire of Basaveshwar Veerashaiva Vidya Vardhaka Sangha to provide education in medical sciences and healthcare service to the society became a reality in 2002 with establishment of medical college and hospital. Medical college is named after the veteran national leader S.Nijalingappa.

It is the crowning glory of the Sangha. It is recognized by Medical Council of India, New Delhi and is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. His Holiness Hanagal Shri Kumareshwarswamiji Hospital and Research Centre a teaching hospital of the college has emerged as one of the premier institutions in medical education in this region.

The institution located on an elevated stretch of land of over 114 acres with 700 bedded hospital having well equipped laboratories, M.R.I, CT scan, blood bank, hostels, library, highly qualified and experienced teaching faculty, class rooms, play ground and other student amenities provide an environment for academic excellence.

The first batch of medical graduates has come out in the year 2007. The institution is producing the finest medical graduates to serve the country and humanity at large. We are now entering into the higher education by starting post graduate courses in various specialities.

Infrastructure Hanagal Shree Kumareshwar Hospital was started in the year 2001 and has since grown into an institute of recognition. Housed in a spacious campus of 114 acres. The main hospital building is a spacious structure has a total floor area of 305760.76 Square feet with 700 beds . The teaching hospital offer a range of clinical specialties, modern diagnostic facilities and has all the amenities of a modern hospital. The hospital offers all the modern amenities at one stop and is an add-on to our clinical facilities.
