About Master of Business Administration (Part Time) Course

Here are the details of Master of Business Administration (Part Time) Course including duration, Eligibility, Admission Criteria, Fees and Syllabus.

The three-year programme is designed to develop conceptual knowledge and behavioral skills in students who continue to work in industry, government or other organizations.

Intake:- 207

Eligibility Criteria:-

    * Every candidate seeking admission should have passed a bachelor’s degree examination of at least 3 years duration with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate. Relaxation on this criterion may be made for those who scored more than 55% marks in aggregate in their post graduate degree or at least 60% in a Diploma in Personnel Management, Diploma in Management, Diploma in Sales and Marketing or Diploma in Administrative Management of the Delhi University conducted by the Faculty prior to the implementation of this particular scheme.
    * Candidates should have at least three years experience as an executive or an administrator in a commercial, industrial or government establishment after passing the Bachelor’s Degree Examination.
    * Three years Full-Time experience shall be determined as on 1st August of the year of admission.
    * Candidates must be sponsored by his/her present employer.

Selection Procedure:-

Applications for admission to various programmes are invited through advertisements in major national newspapers in September/October every year. Application forms are distributed to interested candidates on payment of the application fees. The filled-in application forms are to be sent to the Administrative Officer, Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007 for further processing. Eligible candidates are be called for a written test and/or an interview.

The eligible applicants will be called for a written test, and on the basis of their performance in the test, they will be called for an interview. The candidates will be required to produce original certificates and mark-sheets at the time of interview. The final list of candidates selected to the program will be announced after conducting all the interviews.

Fee Structure:-

The fee for various programmes is payable in three instalments every year. The approximate annual fee for the MBA programme is Rs. 11,000. The fee payable at the time of admission is approximately Rs. 6000.

About the College

The Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) , University of Delhi made a modest beginning with a three year part-time Post graduate management programme in Business Administration for senior and middle level executives in 1954. The first set of professors was trained at the Stanford University Business School and institute was started at the Delhi School of Economics under the leadership of Prof A. Dasgupta. The past decades have witnessed a significant growth in the nature and number of programmes offered at the FMS.

The Faculty of Management Studies focuses on management education more than just business management. The commitment is thought leadership with a deep understanding of business. The approach to pedagogy combines fieldwork, case studies and instrumented feedback with a strong emphasis on concepts and theory. The intent is to encourage intellectual curiosity and open minds to the adventure of ideas.

Ans : Dear Vijayandra, You can do part time and mba both after your BE. It all depends what significance you are talking about. I fit is for a job then yes, Generally companies prefer students with full time MBA and it is for the companies to go to the campuses and approach such students. But for part time mba's hardly any placement platform is available.
