Eligibility criteria for admission:- Admission to this course is open to all those with a Master's degree from any recognized University in any of the Social Science subjects including Mathematics, Statistics, Health & allied subjects. Preference will be given to candidates having experience in population, Health and /or in allied areas.

Number of seats:-
There are 100 seats available for admission to this course. However, the Institute reserves the right to decide the number of students to be enrolled in each academic session.

Selection criteria:- Selection of candidates for the course will be done by a selection committee duly constituted by the Director of the Institute.

Duration of course:- This course can be completed in a minimum period of two years, as well within a maximum period of four years.


About the College

The International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS) was established in 1956. It has established itself as the premier Institute for training and research in Population Studies for developing countries in the Asia and Pacific region. IIPS holds a unique position among all the regional centres, in that it was the first such centre to be started, and serves a much larger population than that served by any of the other regional centres. The Institute is under the administrative control of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
