Here are the details of One year Trainee Marine Engineering Course Course including duration, Eligibility, Admission Criteria, Fees and Syllabus.

Eligibility: For Graduate engineers -  Degree in mechanical / Naval Architecture. - AICTE approved B.E (marine engg.) degree is acceptable, subject to specific DGS approval only (with minimum Marks of 50% in the final year)

English Proficiency : The DG Shipping entry standards for the course prescribes that the candidate should have obtained at least 50% marks in English subject in either 10 th or 12 th standard or Degree in Engineering course, conducted by a recognized Board or any University .

Course duration:  ONE year, at the end of which the candidate is eligible to apply for CDC and exemption from Part- A of MOT examination for certificate of Competency

This is a DGS approved course.   Hostel stay is compulsory within our campus for the duration of the course. Boarding will be provided at the hostel.
 
Selection criteria:   Based on written screening test and personal interview, academic credentials, aptitude. Written test will be conducted individually upon personal appearance on any working day, and result declared at the same time. Max Age 24 Years at the time of Commencement of course.

Medical: Must be physically fit, certified by registered medical practitioner.  Eye sight: within plus or minus 2.5 and No colour blindness (must produce certificate from an eye specialist, ophthalmologist)

Ans : dear u can undergo GEC course to get converted to marine engineer. The GEC course is for the duration of around 15 months and the entire training is completed in 3 phases as under: Phase 1: 5 months Pre-Sea training at Academy in Bangkok Phase 2: 8 months Sea training on board Ship. (You shall be paid a stipend of around USD 200 – 400 per month depending on the Ship. (The Institute assures 100/% Placements for sea training on board ships which is a pre - requisite to get the job with the Shipping Companies.)   • sir , i have completed ( DAE) Diploma in automobile WITH 88.67%, and B.E in automobile engineering with 77.86%, i like to join in marine .. which course would i select out of this three.. to enter into the marine 1.(GME) Graduate engineering training-1 year 2. advance Graduate engineering training-2-year 3.desk engineer-6 month which will be the best so that i can get into the marine 2.
