B.Sc (Nursing)
|
A 4-year (+ 6month Internship) program offered at Rama College of Nursing & Para Medical Sciences (RCN&PMS), affiliated to Agra University, that prepares the student to practice across all health care settings. The course of study combines the theory and the practice of nursing, with general education in the humanities and behavioral, biological, and physical sciences. These serve as a core for the development of the nursing major.
The B.Sc. Nursing program offers students experience in major settings where health care is delivered. As a B.Sc. Nursing graduate, you have the greatest opportunity for advancement. A B.Sc. Nursing is required for entry into a Master's Degree in nursing program that prepares you for leadership, management and more independent roles, such as clinical nurse specialist, nurse practitioner, educator and researcher. A B.Sc. Nursing is preferred and often required for military nursing, case management, public health nursing, overseas/development nursing, forensic nursing and school nursing. The Indian Nursing Council and U.P. State Nursing Council recognize this course offered at RCN&PMS.
Eligibility:-
CITIZENSHIP: Indian Nationals.
DATE OF BIRTH: The minimum age of admission is seventeen years.
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates for nursing courses should at least pass their 10+2 or equivalent examination. Preferably with Physics, Chemistry Biology Subjects.
Admissions:-
Nursing course is on the basis of merit and marks in the qualifying examination.
NOTE: Only candidates who have secured minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology will be considered for admissions to B.Sc. course.

BDS
|
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION in BDS
|
- A candidate seeking admission to the degree course must have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete this age on or before 3 lst December of the Year of his/her admission to first year BDS Course.
- The candidate must have passed Intermediate Science (10+2) or its equivalent examination from any recognized Board/University or Pre-University/Inter-mediate Board and must have secured not less than 50% marks in Physics, chemistry, Biology (Zoology+Botany) & English taken together. Candidate securing 50% marks in competitive test is also eligible for admission.
- For Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates minimum marks required for admission shall be 40%.
- The candidate must be declared medically fit by our medical board. Candidates selected for admission are required to deposit their original certificates in the Institute as per the check list which shall be acknowledged and will be returned only after the completion of the course.

MDS
|
ELIGIBILITY:
A candidate for admission to the MDS course (Master of Dental Surgery) must have
- A recognised degree of BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) awarded by an Indian University in respect of recognised Dental College.
- Candidates not possessing a recognized Dental qualification for the above purpose should secure the prior approval of his qualifications by the Dental Council of India before he can be admitted to the MDS Course of any University in India.
- Candidates who possess PG Diploma recognised by the DCI with the duration of 2 years (proposed) in particular speciality is eligible for admission in MDS in the same speciality and the duration will be 2 years.
The syllabus of two years programme will be as per the concerned university guidelines. Provided that in the case of a foreign national, the Dental Council of India may, on payment of the prescribed fee for registration, grant temporary registration for the duration of the postgraduate training restricted to the dental college/institution to which he is admitted for the time being exclusively for postgraduate studies, Provided that further temporary registration to such foreign national shall be subject to the condition that such person is duly registered as dental practitioner in his own country from which he has obtained his basic dental qualification and that his degree is recognised by the corresponding dental council or concerned authority.
SELECTION OF POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS:
- Students for postgraduate dental courses (MDS) shall be selected strictly on the basis of their academic merit.
- For determining the academic merit, the university/institution may adopt any one of the following procedures both for P.G. Diploma and MDS degree courses:
- On the basis of merit as determined by a competitive test conducted by the State Government or by the competent authority appointed by the or by the competent authority appointed by the State Government or by the University group of universities in the same state; or
- On the basis of merit as determined by a centralised competitive test held at the national level; or
- On the basis of the individual cumulative performance at the first, second, third & Final B.D.S. examinations, if such examinations have been passed from the same university; or
- Combination of (i) and (iii);
Provided that wherever entrance test for Postgraduate admissions is held by a State Government or a university or any other authorized examining body, the minimum percentage of marks for eligibility for admission to postgraduate Dental courses shall be 50% for general category candidates and 40% for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
Provided further that in non-Governmental institutions fifty percent of the total seats shall be filled by the competent authority and the remaining fifty percent, by the management of the institution on the basis of merit.
