Course Description
Programmes Offered: i) Vocal Music, ii) Veena, iii) Dance, iv) Violin, v) Flute, vi) Nagaswaram, vii) Thavil.
Duration:- Two Years.
Eligibility for Admission to Vocal Music, Veena, Dance and Violin:
1) A pass in 10th Standard from high schools, recognized by the Directorate of School Education, Chennai.
2) Aptitude for learning Music/Dance as adjudged by the Committee, who will conduct an entrance test.
3) A maximum age of 30 years for music and 20 years for dance as on 01st July of the year of entry. However, relaxation will be given depending on the candidates aptitude and knowledge.
Eligibility for Admission to Nagaswaram and Thavil:
1) A Pass in 10th Standard from High Schools, recognized by the Directorate of School Education, Chennai.
2) Aptitude for learning Nagaswaram / Thavil.
3) A minimum age of 30 years as on 1st July of the year of entry. However relaxation will be given depending on the candidate aptitude and knowledge.
Eligibility for Admission to Flute:
1) A pass in 8th Standard from High Schools, recognized by the Directorate of School Education, Chennai.
2) Aptitude for learning Music (Flute) as adjusted by the Committee, who will conduct an entrance test.
3) A minimum of 12 years as on 1st July of the year of entry. However, relaxation will be given depending on the candidate aptitude of knowledge.
