Description

 A. V. Abdurahiman Haji Arts & Science College was started in 2002 in the Salafi Campus on the bank of the Kuttiadi river. Now the name of the college is changed to A. V. Abdurahiman Haji Arts & Science College in memory of the late Janab A. V. Abdurahiman Haji,the founder of Salafiyya Association and the member of Kerala Legislative Assembly for 25 years.

The college is Affiliated to the University of Calicut. The College has already recorded remarkable progress and achievements in its aims and objectives including general uplift of the socially and educationally backward classes, with special focus on Muslims.

    The discipline of commerce forms the integral part of any economy and industry. The growth and existence of any industry depends on talented and highly qualified management professionals. As a result there is an evergreen demand for talented personal in commerce. AVAH college offers three year graduate programme in commerce as Bachelor of Commerce (Bcom) with Computer Application. The number of seats available are 40.

    Duration:- Three years

    Eligibility:- Pass 10 + 2 (HSC)

  • B.Sc (Chemistry)

    Chemistry plays a very important role in every day life. The need and importance of this subject can be easily understood from the range of its applications. Some important applications range from supply of food, contribution to better health and sanitation, atomic and nuclear energies, application in industries like glass, cement, paper, leather, textiles, paints, petroleum, pharmaceuticals etc. Thus chemistry can be regarded as an integral part of society.

    Duration:-     Three years

    Eligibility:- Pass 10 + 2 (HSC) in Science

  • B.Sc (Computer Science with Mathematics and Physics as subsidiary subjects)

    The number of seats available for this course is 24.

    The college offers 28 multimedia computer systems with well equipped Microprocessor Lab. Internet connection is also available. Apart from the faculty members, specially trained lab assistants are there to help the students in the computer centre. The Computer Science Department also provides Digital Lab with 8 Digital Trainer Kits testing and working of Electronic components.

  • B.Sc (Physics)

    Physics is the ever shining discipline in Higher Education. The physics and its application forms the integral part of our Industry. The science of physics and its development has helped the world to many inventions such as in space research, Nuclear energy, Communication etc.

    Duration:- Three years

    Eligibility:- Pass 10 + 2 (HSC) in Science

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

    BBA is new era course in management studies. After completion of the course a student can directly enter into management jobs. Excellent faculties are available in the college. There are 24 seats for this course.
