Post Graduate Certificate in Management (Retail Management)

PGCM (Retail Management) has been conceptualized by Accman Institute of Management with active participation from industry professionals keeping in mind the projected requirements of talented management graduates in the industry. On successful completion of the program, students can look forward to merit based final placement with Pantaloon Retail ( India ) Ltd., Reliance Retail, Shopper's Stop and other major retail organizations. Normally, retail management graduates are hired at Assistant Manager's level with entry level salaries ranging from Rs. 3.00 lac to 5.00 lac p.a.

Duration of the program:-

    * Academic Program of 12 months duration.
    * Internship with Pantaloon Retail ( India ) Ltd or other leading retail organizations for three months.

Eligibility & Selection:

Accman Institute of Management aims to enroll students who manifest a combination of leadership skills, academic excellence and a burning desire to succeed. Graduates from any recognized university/institution are eligible to apply.

Selection will be on the basis of scores in National Admission Tests (CAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA) to be followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

 

Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (P.G.D.M.)

Post Graduate Diploma in Management offered by Accman is a six trimester program with industry integrated projects of two months duration. The unique courseware aims to equip the students with the skill set, knowledge base and creativity tools which will help them develop into business managers with competencies in at least two functional areas. Students of this program gain a rigorous theoretical grounding in the various areas of Business Management such as Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Economics, Operations Management, Information System, Strategy, Organizational Behaviour, Quantitative Techniques, Retail Management alongwith exhaustive practical exposure to Industry.

Eligibility:-

Minimum requirement is Bachelor's degree of 3 year duration or equivalent with 50% marks in any discipline from a recognized university of India. Those candidates who are appearing for their final graduation or equivalent examinations upto 30th June, 2010 are also eligible to apply.

The criteria of short listing candidates for GD and interviews are based on multiple factors like:

    * Performance at National Level entrance tests like CAT/ MAT/ ATMA/XAT.
    * Past academic performance.
    * Work experience, if any, in terms of job content and organizations.
    * Extra curricular activites, other interests and accomplishment.

PGDM (Retail Management) is an industry-integrated two year fulltime program six trimester program covering the entire range of functional areas pertaining to retail management field. The unique courseware aims to students with the skillset, knowledge base and creativity tools which will help them develop into super-specialists in retailing as a discipline of Business Management. India is currently witnessing a boom in the retail sector with major international giants and dominant Indian players chalking out huge investment plans in various formats which will result in a manifold increase in the demand-supply gap of qualified professionals.

Students can also seek career avenues in Retail Banking, both with Nationalised, Foreign & Private Banks.

Ampel opportunities are also available with Fast Moving Consumer Goods Companies (FMCG) such as Hindustan Unilever, ITC, Colgate, Dabur, etc.
