Description
Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) spread over 200 acres is recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) and General Medical Council of UK and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, Karnataka and was established in the year 1986 at Balagangadharanatha Nagar (B.G.Nagar) located along NH 48, 107 KM from Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka State.
Infrastructure
• The institute has a huge library which covers an area of 2500 sq. mts. It has rich collection of around 15430 books, 55 international and 59 Indian journals. A digital library facility is introduced for disseminating and retrieving health science information by means of computer communication / networking. Library is kept open from 9am to 10pm on all working days including Sundays and general holidays and from 9am to 12 midnight during University examination.
• The institute has fully-equipped and well-maintained laboratories and a cafeteria.
• Separate hostels are offered for Men and Ladies. Men's hostel is divided in to two blocks that is "A" and "B". "A" block consists of 87 rooms and "B" block consist of 103 rooms. These hostels are regularly maintained and are secured with 24 hours security services. The institute offers transportation facilities to the students. It owns four busses for travelling of the students.
Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) Admissions
Admission criteria is done by the rules of RGUHS and regulation of MCI, New Delhi. The government of Karnataka monitored the number of admissions through its entrance test and its orders are issued from time to time.
