Description

Dr. B.C. Roy Engineering College, Durgapur was established in 2000. It was affiliated to the West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT) & approved by both All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Directorate of Technical Education (DTE). It offer various Engineering, MBA, MCA courses.

    The medium of instruction and examination is ENGLISH.  Duration of each course is for four academic years.  Each academic year is from 1st July to 30th June and  divided into two semesters.  Besides academic activities in the college,  the courses include visits to work sites and practical training in industries.

    Criteria:- Admission completely through counseling of CSCET from WBJEE / AIEEE merit list

    For serial No. 1 - 4 : - First class B.E. / B.Tech / AMIE or equivalent degree in ECE/EIE/EE/CSE/IT/MCA with required  specialization or first class M.Sc. with same specialization from any recognized University / Institution.

    GATE Qualified candidates will be given preference. Candidates without GATE score are also encouraged to apply but they have to appear for an admission test and / or interview subject to availability of seats.

  • M.Tech (Modern Communication Engg.)

    Duration:- 2 Years

    Eligibility criteria for Admission:-


    First class B.E. / B.Tech / AMIE or equivalent degree in ECE/EIE/EE/CSE/IT/MCA with required  specialization or first class M.Sc. with same specialization from any recognized University / Institution.

  • M.Tech (Power System Engg.)

    Duration:- 2 Years


    Eligibility criteria for Admission:-

    First class B.E. / B.Tech / AMIE or equivalent degree in ECE/EIE/EE/CSE/IT/MCA with required  specialization or first class M.Sc. with same specialization from any recognized University / Institution.

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)

    Approved by AICTE , affiliated to WBUT

    Duration: 2- year (full time) Session: 2009 – 2011

    Eligibility: Any graduate (10 + 2+ 3), final year student is also eligible, B.Tech. / B.E. Pref.

    No. of seats :     60 only

    Selection Procedure:-

    • Has to be filled up application form
    • Selection will be on the basis of GD and PI
    • Must Qualify CAT/MAT/JEMAT


      

  • MCA (Master of Computer Applications)

    MCA Degree from West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT)

    Duration:-  3-year fulltime MCA Degree from West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT).

    Eligibility : Candidate should have the following qualification :

    Bachelors’ Degree in any discipline under (10+2+3 ) pattern with a course in Mathematics as one of the subjects  and JECA qualified.

    Number of Seats : 60 (Sixty) only.
