Description

Bhavans College was established in 1938. It is located in Mumbai. The College, affiliated to the University of Mumbai. It offers BA, BCom, BSc, MA, MSc course.  The College has a host of qualified, experienced and dedicated teachers to guide the students at the Undergraduate as well as post graduate level. The College has a strong faculty of 100 eminent and versatile teachers with over 40% possessing a Doctorate Degree and about 10% involved in offering consultancy services. However the main strength of the college is the large number of students since the last few years the college is registering about 9000 students per year.

In the year 2003-04, the college was accredited grade B++ with 82% by National Assessment and Accreditation Council for the period from 2004-2009. The College is currently in the process of seeking re-accreditation. Bhavan’s College is one of the very few colleges which have the privilege to have completed 60 years of dedicated service in the field of education and celebrated its Diamond Jubilee in the very first decade of the new millennium.

Infrastructure

 • It is one of the best colleges in the city. Though it is located in the heart of Mumbai, it is away from the city disturbance.

 
• It has a huge campus with greenery around it. The campus is also housed with a lake in the premises. 
 
• It has separate buildings for various departments like Science, Commerce and Arts. It has a very adorable infrastructure.
 
• Although the campus is bit dull the students like it and are ok with it. The students here are very enthusiastic and participate in various cultural events.
 
• The college has all the required amenities like library, computer lab, laboratories, etc. The students feel proud to study in this college.
 
• The college has Botanical Garden, Temple, Ground, Amphitheatres, etc. The students here are very much interested in sports as it offers a huge ground.
 
• The canteen of the college is worth visiting. The campus has 3 canteens which offer variety of cuisine at affordable rates.
 
• The college has a fully air-conditioned auditorium and is surrounded by various other educational institutes.
