Description

The King George Medical College, Lucknow was established in 1911, has been a frontrunner among medical education institutions in the country By an act passed by the Government of Uttar Pradesh on the 16th September 2002, the college was transferred under a new university, called the Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University.  The institution is committed to the dissemination and advancement of knowledge in biomedical sciences and establishing itself as a centre of excellence in tertiary level health care in the state.

Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University is situated in the heart of the historic city of Lucknow which is the capital of India 's most populous state Uttar Pradesh. Lucknow lies about 500 km east of Delhi . The university campus is spread over an area of roughly 100,000 sq metres. The University offers MBBS, MD,MS courses.It is one of the leading institute in Lucknow.

 

 

Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University Courses offered

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

    Duation:- 4 1/2 years

    Age:- Should have completed 17 years of age

    Eligibility:-

    Passed +2 examination of the HSC/CBSE/ISC or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Zoology, Mathematics

    Admission:- Through U.P. State Combined Pre Medical Test (CPMT) & All India Medical Entrance Examination

  • DM ( Neurology,Cardiology)

    Duation:- 3 years

    Eligibility:-

    MS in Surgery for Plastic Surgery, Thoracic & Cardiovascular Surgery, Experimental Surgery and Pediatric Surgery, MS in Surgery (Orthopedics),(ENT) for Neurosurgery.MD in Medicine, Pediatrics for Cardiology or Neurology.

    Admission:- Admissions are on the basis of All India competitive examinations

  • MCh ( Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery)

    Duation:-3 years

    Eligibility:-

    MS in Surgery for Plastic Surgery, Thoracic & Cardiovascular Surgery, Experimental Surgery and Pediatric Surgery, MS in Surgery (Orthopedics),(ENT) for Neurosurgery.MD in Medicine, Pediatrics for Cardiology or Neurology.
