Description
Dr. Ambedkar Institute of hotel management, catering and nutrition, Chandigarh was established in the year 1990 in a Government Sarai Building Sector 32-A, which was provided by the Union Territory Administration, Chandigarh .The Institute is part of NCHMCT (national council for hotel management and catering technology) organization, which is guided and controled by Ministry of Tourism ,Government of India.
It is one of the 26 Institutes to train young promising men and women to provide manpower for the hospitality industry.It can be proudly said that the students of this institute have achieved many top merit position on all India basis and the job placement after training has almost been 100% for the past 5 years.

Eligiblility:- Minimum qualification for admission is a pass certificate in the final examination of 10+2 system or its equivalent. Those appearing in 10+2 final or equivalent examination can also appear in JEE for being considered on provisional basis.
Seats:- Seats are reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribes to the order of 15% & 7.5% respectively. In addition , 3% seats are also reserved for physically handicapped candidates.
