It has a huge library which can accommodate more than 200 students at a time. The campus of the institute consist spacious hostels, music room, sports facility, etc. It also has Wi-Fi enabled campus with 24 hrs high speed internet facility.
IIM Bangalore Admissions
Domestic Candidates: Admission procedure for the domestic candidates is through the regular applications received through the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). Domestic candidates have to take the CAT, which is conducted around November every year, at various centers in India. These candidates are required to take the CAT, and if short-listed attend a writing test and personal interview, and should provide three letters of reference from persons who know them closely in terms of their academic/professional performance. Final selection is based on performance in CAT, educational achievement, and work experience, performance in the writing test, interview, and the letters of reference.
Foreign Canidates:
• A bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years at a university.
• Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) score (including AWA score).
• Last date for appearing GMAT is January 11, 2012.
• International Candidates refer to Indians resident outside India and foreign nationals.
IIM Bangalore Placements
IIM Bangalore maintains the training and placement cell to help students prepare for the job search. The best of companies participate in campus placements year-on-year offering excellent career opportunities to IIMB students. IIMB is amongst the few leading Indian B-Schools that achieved 100% placement for the entire batch in the Final Placement season of 2009. Over 123 companies including 40 new recruiters participated in the summer placement drive and made a total internships offer of 464. More than 85 students were offered internships at international locations such asUSA, Australia, Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Singapore and London.
Summer Placements:-
Summer Internship is one of an important and integral part of the Post-Graduate Programme, where students intern with their chosen organization for 8-9 weeks after their first year. The internship programme helps students gain first-hand experience in a particular industry and provides them with ample opportunities to innovate, and challenge ideas and techniques imbibed in the first year. The participating companies were Hinduja Group, Adani Group, Reliance Industries, Schneider Electric and Mphasis. About 10 students from the batch opted out of summer internship placement.
Lateral placements:-
The students with more than 22 months of fulltime work experience were eligible to participate in lateral placement process. More than 50 companies visited IIM Bangalore as part of the lateral recruitment programme. 73 offers were accepted from the total of 147 lateral placements. The participating companies were Essar, Hinduja, Mahindra & Mahindra, Lodha group, Reliance Industries and Tata Administrative Services.
Final Placements:-
Final placements happen during the last term. A formidable array of the best companies in India and the world visit the campus year after year searching for the best talent. A total of 74 international offers were made, of which 54 were accepted. The most number of international offers came for jobs based out of Singapore, Hong Kong and London, primarily from Finance companies.

The participating companies were Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages, Kraft Foods, Goldman Sachs, ChrysCapital, Morgan Stanley PE, Blackstone Group, Royal Bank of Scotland, O3 Capital, Bank of America-Merrill Lynch, Barclays Capital, Cleartrip.com, Tata Motors, NetApp, Yahoo!, Flipkart and Times of India.
