Bhaskar Pandurang Hiwale Education Society is a Christian Religious Education Society registered under the society as Registration Act XXI of 1860 vide Reg.No.Mah/127/Ahmednagar dated 14-4-1969 and also with the Public Trusts Registration Office Pune Region, Pune and it's Reg. No. 1-85 dt 29-07-1969 which runs Ahmednagar College, Institute of Management Studies, Career Development & Research at CSRD - Institute of social work, Ahmednagar.
The object for which the Society is established is to promote education, knowledge and culture in it's Christian institutions which while primarily to those professing the Christian faith, also admit others irrespective of race, class, caste, creed or sex.
Dr. Bhaskar Pandurang Hiwale, in whose name the BPHE. Society is formed, a Ph.D. from Harvard University and Head of the Dept. of Philosophy at the Wilson College, Bombay. He had started the first Institute in rural area of Ahmednagar, called Ahmednagar College.
BPHE Society is the pioneer in many educational programmes. To name only a few, Rural service, the National Service Scheme, Drug Chemistry, Environment Management and others. Society is known and appreciated abroad in the Middle East, in Africa, the U.K. and the U.S.A.
BPHE Society stands for excellence and believes in not things but men. Dr. T. Barnabas, the former Principal of Ahmednagar College says that vision of yesteryears may be kept as beacon for the generations to come. In the words of Rev. Joseph Barnabas, Secretary, BPHE Society, "there are those who think that only money can ensure growth. If there is a vision for tomorrow, how can money alone bring concrete results? For tomorrow, there has to be a master plan with human face. Finances can be made available to implement these plans.
Moreover, BPHE Society believes in shaping the human beings in such a way that they shoulder the responsibilities in changing world. It believes in training the people to become the institutions themselves.
