JNTU Kakinada itself is a huge university located in the fertilizer city Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. It is a reputed university in the country. The institute offers various courses in the field of engineering and others. The institute came into existence before our independence in the year 1946. Since then it has travelled on the path of success in the education industry. Initially it was affiliated to Andhra University but later on it has itself become an autonomous university. The university is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It is located in serene environment which is best to pursue education. It also has high quality experienced faculty to give proper attention on its students.
Infrastructure
JNTU is sprawled in more than an area of 110 acres. It provides all the facilities that you can’t even think of. The institute has outstanding infrastructure with 5 different blocks for the all the engineering streams. It has good accommodation facility for boys and girls with all the required amenities within the campus. Other facilities provided by the institute includes bank, post-office, dispensary, etc. It also has huge play area for the students interested in sports and other extra-curricular activities. The campus also has a canteen which serves fresh and delicious food to the students. The most exciting part is that it has separate block for library with over 53500 volumes of books and journals. The students of the institute has developed students amenities centre on the campus with facilities like STD booth, Photocopy Centre, Internet Centre, fancy and bookstore. The students are not disappointed in case of computer lab and laboratories as it has high speed internet connectivity and well equipped labs.
