Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT) has been developed as a modern world class campus, with intellectually vibrant ambience in a serene and lush green environment. The Institute offers Doctoral, Post-graduate as well as Undergraduate programs of study in the disciplines of Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Biotechnology. Institute also has various Dual Degree programs offered by departments of Bio Technology, Computer Science Engineering and Jaypee Business School. The JIIT aims to develop engineers with capability to design and implement computer based systems, tools and equipment. Our engineers are rounded off with appropriate inter-personal skills, group working skills, understanding engineering economics, finance as well as with knowledge of legal/social aspects of technology.
The Institute through the Department of Computer Science & IT promotes multi-media and software technologies. Students are exposed to still graphics, 2 and 3-D animation, and Digital Image Processing. They do all standard courses like Data Structures,Object-Oriented Programming, Operating Systems, Compilers, Computer Networks, etc. A special feature of our teaching are workshop courses where intensive practical experience is given in important tools like Unix and Shell Programming, Network Programming, etc. Students are given courses in cutting edge technologies immediately relevant to industry, for example, Web Programming, Web Services, Web Application Development, Data Mining, etc. Further they can opt for courses in futuristic technologies like Quantum Information Theory, Nano-Science & Technology.
