Description

KGISL Institute of Information Management was established in 2002. It is affiliated to Bharathiar University and approved by AICTE.

The Institute provides adequate hands-on experience to its students on all relevant aspects of information and communication technologies. 24x7 Computer centre connected to servers via layer-3 manageable switches, two H4 satellite earth stations located on the campus, International Private Leased Circuits (IPLCS), in-Campus banking facility and ATMs, 24x7 cafeteria, campus medical clinic, Hostels, Gyms are some of the facilities available for KGiSL-IIM.

  • M.Phil Computer Science

    Duration of the Course:-

    Full Time: One year (2 semesters)
    Part Time: Two Years (2 semesters)

    Eligibility:-Post Graduate Degree in Computer Science

    How to Apply?:-

    Application forms can be obtained from the Admission Office by sending a demand draft for Rs.300 drawn in favour of KGiSL Institute of Information Management payable at Coimbatore. Alternatively you may also download the application form from www.kgisliim.ac.in. Applicants need to pay Rs. 300 by DD at the time of filing the downloaded application form.

  • MCA

    Master of Computer applications programme is a three-year course and is spread over a period of six semesters which enables the candidates to get familiar with the usage of computer using at-least five latest programming languages and a large number of applications. The course also develops the student's capabilities in preparation of system software.

    ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS FOR ADMISSION:-

    Should have passed any recognized bachelors degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline with Mathematics or Statistics at 10+2 school level (or) should have passed any recognized bachelors degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects.

    Candidates who will be completing their U.G. degree programme during April / May 2010 examinations are also eligible to apply for admission. However, their selection will be considered only if they successfully complete the degree programme and satisfy the above eligibility conditions at the time of admission. Candidates who do not fulfill the eligibility conditions on the day of admission will not be considered for admission.

    The candidates should have completed 10+2+3 years of study before being admitted to the MCA course.

    SELECTION PROCEDURE:-

    Selection will be solely on the basis of merit and in accordance with the rules of communal reservation of the Government of Tamil Nadu. The candidates will be selected for admission to the course only based on the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET). The candidates selected for admission will be intimated individually and the list of such candidates will be put up in KGiSL-IIM Notice Board, and in KGiSL-IIM dynamic web site www.kgisliim.ac.in. No enquiries with regard to their selection will be entertained.

    All candidates selected for admission to MCA Programme shall be asked to get admitted and surrender their original Transfer Certificate, Conduct Certificate, Mark Sheets (SSLC, HSC and Degree), Provisional / Degree Certificate and remit the prescribed fees on the dates indicated in the admission letter. Request for extension of time will not be granted, whatever the reason may be. The certificates once surrendered will not be returned till the student completes or leaves the course. Hence they are advised to retain with them adequate number of attested photocopies of the certificates for future use.
