Description

KIIT Law School (KLS) is one of the first law schools in India to offer three conjoined honors degree courses (B.A.LL.B., B.B.A.LL.B, and B.Sc. LL.B). KLS is also the first law school of the country which has implemented the suggested curricula of Bar Council of India of 2009.

The curricula of KIIT Law School (KLS) prepare the students to practice law as capable, reflective professionals and to engage in informed, thoughtful inquiry about law and legal processes. KLS library is one of the most comprehensive law libraries in India and undeniably one of the most attractively designed.


 

  • B.A. LL.B

    Duration:- 5 years

    ELIGIBILITY:-

    A candidate for admission to B.A. LL.B, B.Sc. LL.B and B.B.A.LL.B should have:

    I. Passed the 10+2 or equivalent in any stream with at least 50% marks.
    II. For B.Sc. LL.B candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent in the science stream with at least 55% marks; and
    III. Not completed 21 years of age on 1st July 2010.

  • B.B.A. LL.B

    Duration:- 5 years

    ELIGIBILITY:-

    A candidate for admission to B.A. LL.B, B.Sc. LL.B and B.B.A.LL.B should have:

    I. Passed the 10+2 or equivalent in any stream with at least 50% marks.
    II. For B.Sc. LL.B candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent in the science stream with at least 55% marks; and
    III. Not completed 21 years of age on 1st July 2010.

  • B.SC. LL.B

    Duration:- 5 years

    ELIGIBILITY:-

    A candidate for admission to B.A. LL.B, B.Sc. LL.B and B.B.A.LL.B should have:

    I. Passed the 10+2 or equivalent in any stream with at least 50% marks.
    II. For B.Sc. LL.B candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent in the science stream with at least 55% marks; and
    III. Not completed 21 years of age on 1st July 2010.

  • LL.M

    LLM programme offers highly qualified and intellectually outstanding students an opportunity to pursue their legal studies at an advanced level in a highly challenging but academically conducive environment. The LL.M., as a Masters degree, is intended for those who wish to pursue further legal studies after completing their undergraduate degrees in law and to develop higher research aptitude, and considering an academic career.

    Eligibility:- To be eligible for appearing in the entrance test to the two years LL.M. degree course, a candidate should have passed B.A.LL.B/LL.B./ B.L. degree or an equivalent degree from a recognized university and must have secured at least 50% of marks in the aggregate of the maximum marks prescribed for all the Semesters/years taken together. Candidates awaiting results of the qualifying examination can also appear for the test on the condition that they will have to produce proof of having passed the qualifying examination with the prescribed marks at the time of admission.

    The areas of specialization are:

    i. Business Law

    Ii. Crime and Criminology

    iii. Human Rights Law

    iv. International Law

    V. Intellectual Property Law

  • Ph.D (Law)

    An applicant seeking admission to PhD program must have ;
         

    • Master of laws degree from any recognized university having scored a minimum of 55%; or
    • M.Phil in Law from a recognized university; or
    • Master's degree in any social science or allied discipline relevant to the field of research as may be decided by the Director in consultation with the concerned Ph.D. Committee with minimum of 55% marks.


    The selection will be made on the basis of overall academic career, interview and performance in the presentation of research proposal. Candidates having long years of professional experience and exhibiting research aptitude may also be admitted to the program.
