Mahalakshmi Engineering College was established in 2011 and it is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The college is approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). It was started under the able leadership of the Founders, Mr.R.Ravi and Mr.M.Anantharaman. The college is spread over 20 acres, is situated in tranquil and serene surroundings, far from the humdrum of mundane life on the Trichy-Salem highway. The lush greenery and the pollution-free atmosphere are undoubtedly a feast to the eye and motivational food for the academic mind. The college is located at about 5 kms from the Uttamarkovil Railway Station and about 10 kms from the Srirangam Railway Station.
