  • NIIT edge-Integrated ANIIT for Engineers (IAE)

The Information Technology environment is changing at a very rapid pace today. And so are the complexities in the skills required to succeed in this industry.

Today one requires exposure to various technologies and specialization in minimum one technology to be successful in software industry and have a continued growth path.

Even though there are plenty of job opportunities, the competition is stiff. Hence one needs to prepare better from early on to grab the opportune moment during the campus recruitment.

Though, Engineering degree is one of the basic qualifications for any such job, the degree itself does not guarantee the same. The facts of Engineering academics like outdated curriculum, lack of infrastructure in colleges, limited teaching capabilities etc. are only some of the stumbling blocks.

Other personal shortcomings like not being able to cope up with the curriculum or being in a non-IT stream also do not facilitate realization of the aspiration of a job in the Information Technology sector, which is the dream of an Engineering student from any stream.

Thus originates the need for a training program which can bridge all these gaps while the student is pursuing his/her college education and enable him/her to get the job of choice in the IT industry the moment he/she graduates and make him doubly qualified.

NIIT’s answer to all these issues is “Integrated ANIIT Program (IAE)” which is designed to:

    • Provide Engineering students skills in latest technologies
    • Help students overcome the problems posed by outdated curriculum, lack of infrastructure in colleges, limited teaching capabilities etc.
    • Provides a platform for non IT Engineers to be at par with the IT Engineers and be a part of the consideration set of the employers during the campus placements.
    • Provide industry-oriented skills like soft skills, personality development, live projects etc.
    • Provide a placement oriented program which can be finished along with the college

The “Integrated ANIIT Program (IAE)” has every potential to be the training program which every Engineering student will aspires to before he/she thinks of a technology job.

    Duration: 560 Hours

    Contents of the program:

To ensure a balanced learning load on the student—from both NIIT and the Engineering college—the 5 Tier have been aligned to be executed during the non- peak months of an engineering semester.

    Introduction to Oracle 9i: SQL

The program covers the concepts of both relational and object relational databases and the powerful SQL programming language. This program counts towards the Oracle 9i Database Administrator Certification.

Oracle 9i Database Administration Fundamental I

This program is your first step towards success as an Oracle professional, designed to give you a firm foundation in basic database tasks. In this program, you'll learn how to design, create, and maintain an Oracle database.

Students will gain a conceptual understanding of the Oracle database architecture and how its components work and interact with one another and how to create an operational database and properly manage the various structures in an effective and efficient manner.

Oracle 9i Database Administration Fundamental II

This program gives the Oracle database administrator (DBA) a firm foundation in Oracle Net administration and backup and recovery operations.

Students learn about transporting data between databases and the utilities used to perform these activities. Students are also introduced to networking concepts and configuration parameters, as well as how to solve some common network problems. This program also addresses backup and recovery techniques, and examines various backup, failure, restore and recovery scenarios.

    Oracle 9i Database Performance Tuning

This program will introduce participants to the importance of good initial database design, and the method used to tune a production Oracle9i database. The focus is on Database and Instance tuning rather than specific operating system performance issues. Using the available Oracle tools, such as Oracle Enterprise Manager (with the Diagnostics and Tuning Packs) and STATSPACK participants also learn how to recognize, troubleshoot and resolve common performance related problems in administering an Oracle database

    Pre-requisites

Knowledge of any basic programming language like C/C++/Java is essential.

Today users of self-service and electronic delivery channels need access to dynamic information that changes depending on day, time and customer transactions. These applications are typically run on rich, thick clients that rely on device and software installation and configuration. Adoption of new technologies such as browsers and Web application development is creating thinner clients to reduce the configuration burden and deliver dynamic information in an easier-to-use interface to both electronic (online banking) and non-electronic channels (sales and service representatives).

Adobe® ColdFusion® software makes Internet application development and deployment faster and easier than any other solution available today. More than 300,000 developers at over 10,000 companies worldwide rely on ColdFusion to quickly build and deploy powerful Internet applications, making ColdFusion one of the most widely adopted web technologies in the industry. It solves the day-to-day challenges of Internet application development, allowing the user to be extremely productive as he creates and delivers engaging online applications.
