Description

National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) is one of the leading dental institute in Karnal which ws established in the year 1923. Karnal was originally started as Imperial Institute of Animal Husbandry and Dairying . It was expanded and renamed as Imperial Dairy Institute in 1936 and was known as National Dairy Research Institute after independence in 1947.  Subsequently, in 1955, NDRI Headquarter was shifted to Karnal. Facilities at Bangalore were retained to function as a Regional Station to serve the Southern States.

The National Dairy Research Institute as country's premier Dairy Research institution has developed considerable expertise over the last five decades in different areas of Dairy Production, Processing, Management and Human Resource Development.

National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) Courses offered

  • B.Tech. (Dairy Technology)

    B.Tech. (Dairy Technology) is four year degree (8 semester) programme offers intensive training in processing and quality control of milk and dairy products and engineering aspects of dairy processing equipments.

    Eligibility Criteria:- Pass 10 + 2 (HSC) with Physics,Chemistry, Mathematics

    Admission Criteria:-

    Age Limit:- Minimum age limit for B.Tech. candidates shall be 17 years on or before 31-12-2009. Normally there will be no upper age limit (except B.Tech. students whose maximum age limit is 23 years). No relaxation is admissible regarding the minimum age limit
    Admission through All India Entrance Examination conducted by the Education Division, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Krishi Anusandhan Bhavan-II, Pusa, New Delhi

  • Masters in Dairying

    Duration:- The duration of Master in dairying is three years for graduates in pure sciences and two years for graduates with four years professional degrees. However, it will be three years for those admitted to Master in Dairying (Dairy Engineering) with B.Sc./ B.Tech.(DT).

    Elligibility Criteria:- Candidates having Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field as given below must have obtained atleast 60% marks or an overall grade point average (OGPA) of 6.50 out of 10.00 or 3.25 out of 5.00 or 2.60 out of 4.00 (For SC/ST candidates 55% marks of OGPA of 6.00 out of 10.00, 3.00 out of 5.00 or 2.40 out of 4.00) or a certificate from Registrar of having OGPA equivalent to 60% marks.

    Admission Criteria:- Admission shall be made on the basis of merit through All India Entrance Examination conducted by the Education Division, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Krishi Anusandhan Bhavan-II, Pusa, New Delhi.

    Age Limit:-     Minimum age limit shall be 19 years on or before 31-12-2009. Normally there will be no upper age limit. No relaxation is admissible regarding the minimum age limit.

Respected Sir- Most humbly and respectfully I beg to sey that myself Jwala yadav, s/o- Rajendra yadav, vill- Prabhat nagar , Post- Bhaikh via Dharaut , Distt.- Jehanabad , (Bihar). I have completed Indian Dairy Diploma (Dairy Technology) in 2002 from Allahabad Agricultural Institute (Deemed university), Allahabad, (U.P), after passing Intermediate (Agricultural) in 2000. I have facing many problem for taking admission in B.tech / B.s.c (Dairy Technology) in any university- 1)- I have completed Indian Dairy Diploma (Dairy Technology) in 2002 from Allahabad Agricultural Institute (Deemed university), Allahabad, (U.P), after passing Intermediate (Agricultural) in 2000. In this time I am working in umang Dairies formerly known as j.k. Dairy, Gajraula, J.P. Nagar (U.P), as Astt. Executive (Production). I wanted to taking admission in B.tech / B.sc (Dairy Technology) course. My Problem is in any university they conduct entrance exam for admission in above course, and their base on the subject of PCM (Physic, Chemistry, Math ), but in my intermediate my basic subject is Agricultural which is absolute different subject , so how can I qualify university entrance exam. I want to you please give me preference on the basis of our IDD (DT) course, at the time of admission, the university arise only dairy related question for diploma holder students. Many university they take preference for diploma (other stream except dairy stream) holder student that is they take admission in 2nd year through lateral entry program. 2)- On the basis of dairy diploma course student will not growth properly in respect of higher level.
