    PROGRAM DURATION
    at NICC, India: 3 semesters
    at Southseas, New Zealand: 2 semesters

    ELIGIBILITY
    : Graduation in any Discipline and NICC Entrance Exam pass (Portfolio Evaluation, Aptitude Test, Interview)

  • International Graduate Twinning Programme- Communication Design

    Students are exposed to a gamut of creative disciplines via modules, ensuring a focused, relevant knowledge spectrum, while HODs provide close interaction, guidance, direction and final recommendation for a specialization. Third and fourth semesters are focused on Specialization Projects with industry interaction through NICC Services Division. Internships are provided for deserving students in select advertising agencies, publishing houses, print design studios, packaging design studios etc.

    PROGRAM DURATION:
    6 semesters (extention into 7th semester is allowed for the purpose of Portfolio project finalization and NICC Placement Programme)

    ELIGIBILITY: Plus II (or equivalent) and NICC Entrance Exam pass (Aptitude Test, Portfolio Evaluation, Interview)

  • International Post Graduate Programme- Photography

    NICC is one of only five prestigious Canon Pro Centres in India, and therefore regarded as one of the best institutions in the country delivering high-quality professional education in Photography and related disciplines. This is also endorsed by NID, by collaborating with NICC to deliver specialized learning modules in Photography to its students.
    NICC has a full-fledged photo-studio with the latest Canon photographic DSLR equipment and accessories, and professional software necessary for professional image processing. NICC students also enjoy exclusive benefits extended to them by Canon India.

    DURATION: 2 semesters (extention into 3rd Semester is allowed only for Portfolio project finalization and internship / placement program)

    Professional specialization / profile: Print Media Designer, Advertising Design Professional, Illustrator, Packaging Design Professional

    DESCRIPTION: Students are exposed to a combination of different creative disciplines / subjects ensuring a focused, relevant knowledge spectrum, while HODs provide close interaction, guidance, direction and final recommendation for a specific specialization during the 2nd Semester of the program. Third Semester is Specialization Project based with industry interaction.
    SPECIALISATIONS:
    1) PRINT MEDIA DESIGN
    2) ADVERTISING DESIGN
    3) ILLUSTRATION
    4) PACKAGING DESIGN

    PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
    1st Semester Modules:
    History of Art and Design
    Traditional Illustration and Digital Illustration
    Design Theory with Typography
    Photography and Digital Imaging
    Layout and Layout Software Platforms
    Advertising Concepts and Principles, Communication and Copywriting

    Objectives:
    - understanding concepts of communication and advertising design,
    - Introduction to and development of mental tools and work processes

    2nd Semester Modules:
    History of Art and Design (individual presentation based)

    Optional modules:
    Digital Illustration
    Advertising Design, Planning and Strategies
    Packaging Design: Ergonomics, Materials, Production Processes
    Projects

    Objective: Total immersion in work processes for different applications with respect to specialization

    3rd Semester Modules:
    Color management
    Software platforms integration (with regard to specialization choice)
    Specialization Projects

    Objective: tools integration, achieving responsiveness, quality delivery, and teamwork practice

    4th Semester:
    Portfolio preparation
    Internship / Placement  program

    3rd and 4th semester are based on live projects in NICC Services Division, possible internships for deserving students in advertising agencies, publishing houses, print design studios, packaging design studios etc.

    Parallel to this, students have an option to get enrolled into a Master's Degree program of their choice - M.A. MassCom or M.Sc.VizCom, ensuring at the end of the program 2 valuable CERTIFICATIONS:
    1) International Postgraduate Diploma in Communication Design (with specialization) recognized world-wide by ELIA member-institutions and other prestigious academic institutions
    2) M.A. MassCom or M.Sc.VizCom Degree - Both Degrees are issued by Bharatyar University, Coimbatore - U.G.C. Govt. of India Recognized

    The Master's Combination Program is carried out via academic association with Universal College, Bangalore

  • International Postgraduate Programe- Production Design

    Product Design is concerned primarily with the relationship between Products, Systems and Users/Consumers. Therefore, the aims of a Product Designer are to develop innovative ideas while addressing requirements of Physical, Social, Industrial, and Ecological / Environmental factors in Product Design.

    DURATION:
    4 semesters (3rd and 4th semester based on Projects for Portfolio project finalization and internship / placement program)

    NUMBER OF SEATS: 10 (may vary at the time of final selection, at discretion of NICC)

    ELIGIBILITY: Graduation in the fields of Engeenering, Architecture or Design and NICC Entrance Exam pass (Aptitude Test, Portfolio evaluation, Interview)
