Description

The National Law University, Orissa (NLUO) is a very new institution, its establishing Act of legislature was notified as recently as April 2009. NLUO is located in Cuttack. NLUO offers two Joint Degree programmes, namely B.B.A.LL.B and B.A.LL.B, LL.M, Ph.D Courses

National Law University, Orissa (NLUO) Courses offered

  • B.A.LL.B

    B.A.LL.B programme is designed for students to develop an understanding of law across the gamut of socio-political legitimacy, contextualising law as a cultural system, analysing issues from alternative viewpoints.

    Duration:- 5 years

    Eligibility:- Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 system) or equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate. (SC / ST candidates can apply with 45% marks). Those who have appeared for the qualifying examination in March / April, 2010 may also apply).

    Age limit:- Below 21 years  as on 1st August 2010 (23 years in case of SC/ST candidates)

    Total seats:- Total seats: 60 seats each for B.A. L.L.B (Hons.) and B.B.A. L.L.B (Hons.)

    Reservations:- Scheduled Tribes-14, Scheduled Castes-10, Persons with disabilities-4, Foreign Nationals-4, NRI/NRI Sponsored-10.

    Fess:- Rs. 1,45,000/- per year

  • B.B.A.LL.B

    B.B.A.LL.B. programme is designed for  students to gain expertise in both the law and general management practices. The program prepares students for careers in which an understanding of both legal and business principles is essential.

    Duration:- 5 years

    Eligibility:- Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 system) or equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate. (SC / ST candidates can apply with 45% marks). Those who have appeared for the qualifying examination in March / April, 2010 may also apply).
