  • Dear Sirs, This year I saw the admissions in Govt. quota seats in Engg. colleges of Gujarat were unnecessarily dragged for a very long period which has really sickened the students and parents. Every year this type of drama is going on which it seems the govt. is not really interested to solve. From the things what is happening practically in engg college admission, it appears gov. is dragging the admission only to facilitate the private college fill up their seats either in NRI quota or in the name of management quota. Because of this enormous delay shown in selection by the govt ., the students and parents get panicky and try to grab the seats which are available with any private colleges. By this the parents were forced to shell-out huge amount to compulsorily get the seats first available in private colleges. No govt. seems to be bothered about the education and they want to indirectly encourage colleges to fill-up their seats first by creating delay in the name of selection and extension of dates. We always hear politicians say that in our India there should not be people who is not educated. But the practical things which are moving in our education system seems to be indirectly helping the private colleges make millions of rupees in the name of good education. Nobody , it seems is not bothered really about the poor/middle class public who has to toil hard to pay the huge fees. Don't know when we will have a real education system in India. Things have become more commercial. God alone can help the poor and middle class people like us. Posted by : Narayanan, on 31-08-2010 Report Abuse
