Rajaram Shinde College of Engineering was established in 1993 and it is affiliated to University of Mumbai. The college is approved by All India council for Technical Educaion (AICTE), New Delhi and Government of Maharashtra. The college provides technical skills to the students in various disciplines at undergraduate degree level. It is the first Engineering college in the Konkan region and holds the distinction of being awarded with B+ grade, by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE). The college believes that the students should have a well-rounded personality and to facilitate this, the college conducts various programmes in addition to the teaching learning process, such as Personality Development Programme, Entrepreneur Development programme, Business Communication, Faculty Development Programmes, Career Oriented Programmes etc. A separate placement and training cell is actively functioning in the college. The placement cell is actively placing the students in esteemed organizations with the help of training cell by inviting eminent personalities from the industries. The college offers job placement to the students in world class reputed companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Patni, Ispat etc. A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to students at Rajaram Shinde College of Engineering in its various departments.
