Description
Ramnarain Ruia College of Arts & Science is one of the best college in Mumbai which was established in the year 1937 and is affiliated to University of Mumbai. It was the first college in Mumbai to be started by the Shikshana Prasaraka Mandali, Pune.
Today, Ruia College enjoys the reputation of being one of the finest institutions of higher learning in the country. Its outstanding performance in the field of curricular and co-curricular activities has very considerably enhanced its prestige and brought it substantial financial assistance from the University Grants Commission, the C S I R and many other equally reputed bodies.
Infrastructure
• The college infrastructure is worth describing. It has a large campus with almost all the facilities required by the science students.
• The college library has nearly 110000 books in its shelves. It has also subscribed around 60 national and international journals for extra knowledge. The collection also includes CDs and DVDs.
• It also provides better computing facility to its students with uninterrupted internet facility to the students as well as staff.
• Ruia College has an active Gymkhana which encourages its students to play various sports at inter-collegiate level.
• The college celebrates a cultural fest which is named as ‘UTSAV’; here one can see maximum participation of students from different streams.
