Description

Regional Institute of Education (RIE}, Ajmer was established in 1995. It is affiliated to the M.D.S. University,Ajmer and its courses are recognised by the NCTE, New Delhi. It is controlled and managed by the NCERT.

Regional Institute of Education (RIE}, Ajmer has two boys hostel Rana Pratap Hostel , Shivaji Hostel and Girls Hostel Tilak Hostel , Laxmibai Hostel , well stocked library with 77,000 books.

Regional Institute of Education (RIE), Ajmer Courses offered

  • Integrated B.Sc. B.Ed.

    The course has two groups: - (i) Physical Science Group (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) & (ii) Biological Science Group (Botany, Zoology & Chemistry).  In case a candidate desires to apply to both Physical Science Group as well as to Biological Science Group, he/she should submit separate application for each group.


    In addition to Science subjects, candidates have to study Education and other related subjects.

    Number of seats available for admission are:

    (i)    Physical Science Group: 62    (ii)    Biological Science Group: 62

    (Two seats are reserved in each group for physically handicapped candidates)

    Eligibility & Selection Criteria:-

        (i)   Only those candidates are eligible who have passed Senior Secondary (+2)/Intermediate or equivalent examination of a University/Board recognized by the M.D.S. University, Ajmer in this year or previous year        with at least 50% marks in aggregate of all the subjects studied.  This limit is relaxable by 5% for SC/ST candidates.

        (ii)  Dropouts/failures of B.Sc.B.Ed. First year are not eligible for re-admission.

        (iii)  Selection is based on aggregate marks of all the subjects studied at +2 level.  However, candidates seeking  admission to Physical Science Group must have passed Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics and those seeking admission to Biological Science Group must have passed Physics, Chemistry & Biology at +2 level.
               In case there are more than one candidate having the same percentage of marks in aggregate, the one who has higher percentage in Mathematics in case of Physical Science Group and in Biology in case of Biological        Science Group will be placed higher in merit list of the respective course.

        (iv)  Amongst candidates with the same percentage in the aggregate and same percentage in Mathematics/ Biology, the one who has passed in One Attempt will be placed higher in merit and if number of attempts are also same, the one senior in age will be placed higher in merit.

     

  • M.Ed. (Elementary Education)

    Duration:- One year

    Total No. of seats: 31

    Eligibility:-

    1. Only those candidates who have passed three year degree course are eligible.
    2. The admission for the degree of Master of Education shall be open to candidates who have passed the B.Ed. Examination / four year B.Sc.B.Ed. Examination / two year B.Ed. (Secondary) / four year B.A.B.Ed. or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto pursued as regular course of study.
    3. Candidates with 50% marks and above in Education Theory Papers in the above mentioned examination will only be eligible for applying to this course. This limit is relaxable by 5% for SC/ST Candidates.
    4. Eligibility of the candidate from a state will be determined based on the location of the university from where the candidate has passed B.Ed. or equivalent examination.

  • Ph.D (Education)

    Eligibility:- Pass M.Ed or M.Phil
