India was a leading international educational center-Nalanda an ancient university in Buddha’s period in Bihar had 10, 000 students with 2000 teachers living in the campus. We are regaining our strength, the economic stability of our country is shifting in the hands of technocrats and today, sizable amount of the GDP is generated by technologists in various fields. It is only through these technologists that today India is known for its share in IT and other allied industries. Most of these industries are in the private domain and so is the shift in education.
This shift has been realized by the Government of India and to share this national movement, Government of India has recognized partnership with the private entrepreneurs to produce technocrats who would lead India at the international platforms. Of course, many other countries are in the race but with the available motivated, energetic youth, the initial lead would continue.
It has been strongly realized that as the communication is shrinking the world, man more foreign investors would invest in time to tap our technical resources and to maintain pace at the international needs, we need technocrats who design, develop, fabricate technologies and the managers to manage these processes efficiently to get economic stability and maintain freedom in the world. In today’s world an economically crippled society can not maintain even its freedom.
The Government of Uttar Pradesh has taken up these international issues in a big way and is committed to promote technical education through its affiliated institutions. We at the Roorkee Engineering & Management Technology Institute realize the international scenario and our national commitment and responsibilities in promoting technocrats by imparting a world class education at various levels through an ultra modern facilities and committed staff working in a cozy, clean, green environment.
As the Chairman of the SALIN Foundation which governs Roorkee Engineering & Management Technology Institute, it will be my pleasure to welcome you all in our folds so that you lead India tomorrow at the International platforms.
