Description

SIES Arts, Science and Commerce College is one of the leading college in Mumbai which was established in the year 1960 and is affiliated to University Of Mumbai.

Excellent results at various University and Board examinations, and coveted awards and merit positons bagged by the students have placed the S.I.E.S. College among the most outstanding institutions in the city. The college has attained its position due to committment and dedication of Principals like Prof. A. B. Shah (1960-63), Prof. Ram Joshi (1963-77), who later became the Vice-Chancellor, University of Mumbai, Prof. P. S. Ramaswamy (1977-87), Prof. K. M. Apte (1987-89), Prof. S. Ramanathan (1989-1996), Prof. V. Padmanaban (1996-2003), Prof. R. Gopalkrishnan (in charge Principal 2003-2005) and unstinted support from their competent and highly qualified colleagues who have given their very best to the students and to the institution.

This illustrious line is continued with the appointment of Dr. Harsha Mehta as the Principal of the college with effect from 30 April 2005. The students of the college, with their exemplary discipline, serious academic, extra and co-curricular pursuits and excellent rapport with their teachers, have greatly contributed to make this college a name to reckon with in academics and other fields.

    Eligibility:- Admission is on the basis of marks Secured at the Higher Secondary examination under Maharashtra Board or any equivalent examination approved by the University of Mumbai.

    Duration:- 3 years

    Eligibility:- Admission is on the basis of marks Secured at the Higher Secondary examination under Maharashtra Board or any equivalent examination approved by the University of Mumbai.

    Duration    :- 3 years

    Eligibility:- Admission is on the basis of marks Secured at the Higher Secondary examination under Maharashtra Board or any equivalent examination approved by the University of Mumbai.

     

  • B.Sc (IT)

    This is an integrated three year full time course and is conducted in six semesters.
    A candidate for being eligible for admission to this course shall have passed XII standard examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with Mathematics as one of the subjects and should have secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate in case of Open Category candidates and 40% marks in aggregate in case of Reserved category candidates, at one and the same sitting.

  • Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS)

    This is a three year full-time course and is conducted in six semesters. A candidate for being eligible for admission to the B.M.S. degree course shall have passed Xllth Std. Examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or any examination recognized as equivalent thereto at one and the same sitting or Diploma in any Engineering branch conducted by the Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra State with two years or three years or four years duration after passing the Secondary School Certificate (S.S.C.) examination or any examination recognized as equivalent thereto and should have secured not less than 45 % marks in case of students belonging to Open Category and not less than 40 % marks in the case of students belonging to Reserved Category.

  • Bachelor of Mass Media (BMM)

    This is a three year full time course and is being conducted in six semesters. A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Mass Media (B.M.M.) shall have passed XII Std. Examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination from the Arts, Science & Commerce Stream.

    Duration:- 3 years

    Eligibility:- Admission is on the basis of marks Secured at the Higher Secondary examination under Maharashtra Board or any equivalent examination approved by the University of Mumbai.

     

Infrastructure

The college provides the following infrastructure facilities:

  • There are 33 lecture halls which can accommodate 50 to 180 students.
  • It also has Audio Visual Room, equipped with an LCD TVs and AC.
  • Each and every stream have well equipped laboratory.
  • It has five well equipped computer laboratories.
  • The college also has a well-equipped Gymkhana for Table-Tennis, Carrom and Chess.
