Shankersinh Vaghela Bapu Institute of Technology is a Bapu Gujarat Knowledge Village and it was established in the year 2009. Presently the bapu gujarat knowledge village provides degree level courses in engineering and pharmacy. The institute is located in a sprawling 25 acre campus in the verdant and sun kissed countryside of vasan village, in the outskirts of Gandhinagar, the capital of Gujarat. The Institute offers Bachelor of Engineering in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering Degree courses. The institute offers infrastructure facilities such as Library, Computer Lab, Hostel, Canteen, Transport. The Library hosts a highly specialized collection of books and journals.

The Bapu Gujarat Knowledge Village ( BGKV) and the various educational institutes constituting it are promoted and  managed by the Shankersinh Vaghela Bapu Charitable Trust (SVBCT). A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to students at Shankersinh Vaghela Bapu Institute of Technology in its various departments. The institute invites knowledgeable Senior Executives from different organizations to visit the Campus and address the students on Current Developments and Specific Problems confronting the industry. This gives a valuable first hand opportunity to the students to meet the Industry Giants and have face-to-face interaction with them.
