Description

Shanti Communication School (SCS) is a C-School that aspires to become a force to reckon with in the coming few years, in terms of the quality of education afforded, but also in terms of the industry-readiness demonstrated by its curriculum. The School, an initiative of the reputed Chiripal Group in Ahmedabad, the college lays tremendous importance on management development programmes, research, writing, publications and consultancies for its faculty to grow and groom themselves. The pedagogy at SCS combines the very best of teaching methods, and internships are designed in a way that students are able to absorb the maximum that they can from the industry.

At SCS, communication studies are seen as an activity that fosters awareness about communication choices, behaviour and technologies. The curriculum works towards inculcating a spirit of free, critical and independent thinking, as well as free-spirited, conducive and effective communication, which will go a long way in empowering the communication professionals of tomorrow, and will lead them to essential skills required in analyzing, interpreting and critiquing important communication problems.

Communication at SCS is beyond just theories, models, essays or rhetoric. SCS understands that communication is a lot more than just language and speech – it is also a mirror of the times we live in. For us, communication is a critical process, one that significantly influences the individual’s environment, and also helps him seek and find solutions to the problems plaguing it.

  • PGDM Communication (PGDMC)

Eligibility:- The aspirant must have a minimum of 50% marks (aggregate) at the graduation level

    Admission Procedure:-

Admission to SCS is a multi-pronged process, which begins with appearing for written exam, and ends with an Individual Presentation and a Personal Interview. Here are the various stages of the SCS admission process:-

    Business Admission Test (BAT):

The BAT is a management entrance exam devised by the Shanti Business School (SBS), which is also used a first step in the SBS admission process. BAT assesses the aspirant's verbal and qualitative reasoning, data interpretation and analysis skills, mathematical comprehension, general knowledge and knowledge of the English language.

    Individual Presentation:-

At SBS & SCS, we have done away with the customary Group Discussion that finds place in the admission process of several colleges. Instead, we expect our students to undergo an Individual Presentation, where they are asked to speak on a given topic, and they get five minutes each to prepare and present a brief speech.

    Personal Interview:-

One of the most essential components of the admission process, the personal interview requires the candidate to face a panel of faculty from SBS/SCS, where questions on a wide range of subjects are asked. The interview aims to assess the student’s level of intelligence, his interests and academic inclinations, as well as his potential and scope to grow within the institute.

In addition to these, the candidate also undergoes a Psychometric Test, a Leadership Test and a test determining his spiritual quotient, in order to finally qualify for SBS & SCS.
Additionally, if you want to apply for PGDM-C, then you will have to appear for the SCAT.

    Shanti Communication Aptitude Test (SCAT):-

The SCAT is a subjective-type entrance examination devised by SCS, and tests the aspirant’s lateral thinking, creativity and ability to visualize. The test contains 2-4 questions, all subjective in nature, where the candidate is expected to come up with the most innovative and imaginative answers possible. The SCAT score of the candidate is one of the most pivotal factors taken into consideration during admissions.
