Shridevi Institute of Management Studies was founded in the year 2009 by Shridevi Charitable Trust. The ultimate purpose of the insitute is to develop an integrated personality of its students. It is affiliated with Tumkur University and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The institute offers Master of Business Administration (MBA) course. The institute impart quality technical education to mould students to be globally competitive technocrats with an insight for exploration and an insight for advanced enquiry , while striving to enable individuals to traverse through learning to achieve success and go beyond their success such that even adversities transform into opportunities for their excellence.

The institute has excellent infrastructure facilities such as well stocked and spacious library, modern computer facilities with high speed internet connection, workshop, and modern laboratory. The institute has a huge library having a good collection of books, journals and it is centrally computerized and has Bar-coding system in it. The students are also encouraged to actively involve in extra-curricular activities like sports meet cultural meets, games,debates and etc.

Teaching-Learning process is implemented by the dedicated faculty through rigorous planning and keeping in view the industry needs. Students undergo classroom lectures, tutorials, case studies, assignments, seminars, workshops, multimedia presentations, and lectures from guest speakers from the industry and academia. The institute has setup a full-fledged Directorate of Placement.

Campus is called as the little green planet stretched in a sixty acre peaceful and calm area. The campus is made beautiful and eco friendly which creates a best possible learning environment.

The gigantic library can accommodate up to 475 students at a given point in time. The library is filled with a voluminous collection of text books, encyclopedias, reference books, and general books.
